So grateful that we managed to find this home from home for our mum the whole team here are excellent spotlessly clean, excellent food & activities the whole team are very welcoming at any time of the day and all got involved in mums care encouraging her chatting to her including her. Mum sadly passed away in September 25 it was a true conciliation that mum spent her last years in such a warm and loving home x❤️

Mum needed respite care 2 years ago and Lovat House was chosen.  It became obvious during that time that mum would not cope being back in her own home.  We looked at other care homes but felt that Lovat House was the most homely.  The staff were very caring with mum and encouraged her to join in with activities. The garden is lovely in the summer and the residents enjoy watching the birds even in the winter.  As a family we were always made to feel welcome. My Nan at 92 years old found herself in need of a care home, she had lived in Wokingham her whole life so she wanted to stay local so that her friends could still visit. We looked at several different facilities and from the minute we walked through the door of Lovat House we knew that we had found her new home ….. that was 7 years ago, she has thrived since she has been there!! The atmosphere when you walk in the door is friendly and calming, family and friends are always made welcome, the staff are amazing, they are extremely professional and caring, they treat my Nan like she is their own mother or grandmother, nothing is too much bother (and she can be a little stubborn at times). She has her own private room that is beautifully decorated, she can take her meals in the dining room or in her own room whichever she prefers, she has her hair done every 2 weeks and they have fun weekly activities in the main lounge. She is encouraged to remain as active as possible and she will be 99 in February!! This is the best care home we could have ever hoped Nan would spend her remaining years, I would recommend to anyone looking for a place that really does treat you or your loved one as family - Thank you everyone at Lovat House, you are the best!

As you will remember Mum was very worried about going into a home as she had had so many years of supported independence in her own home. When it became obvious that her mobility had deteriorated such that she needed extra help we agreed (after much searching) she should move into Lovat House and I was delighted that she settled in so quickly and is only sorry that she didn’t take this step sooner. She really likes the atmosphere, staff & company, enjoys the garden and activities very much and seems to have gained a new lease of life!
